Shimr b. Dhi al-Jawshan was an infamous and notorious figure who committed many crimes in the movement of Imam al-Husayn, most importantly, he is regarded as the slayer of Imam al-Husayn at Karbala. He had a multi-faceted character, hence the present paper is concerned with his criminal deeds at Karbala on Ashura.
