Hz. Ruqayyah and her captivity in the tragic events of Karbala lead one to conclude that she manifested both Imam al-Husayn's dignity and Hz. Zaynab's chastity. The present paper focuses on her rolefor disseminating the messages of Ashura, reviving the affairs of the Ahl al-Bayt, defaming the tyrant Umayyad hegemony, supporting the oppressed, and guiding people to the Right Path. Her exemplary patience, sacrifice, and Islamic lifestyle are also dealt with.
