Abstract
Literature may be regarded as a mirror that reflects historic events, commingled with literary imagination, hence creating long-lasting effects. As such, the epic movement of Imam al-Husayn left its tremendous impressions and effects on Persian literature. From this perspective, the Ashura-oriented poetic compositions depict such a profound influence.
