Abstract
The origin of the Arbaeen phenomenon goes back to love for God and ardent devotion to the status of the Infallible Imams. Hence imbued with intense educational and mystical traits, it functions as a pathway leading to the pleasure of God. Based on library research, one may conclude that Arbaeen stands next to Quranic teachings for providing the mystical explorer with high notions of ardent devotion, sincerity, piety, perseverance, reliance on God, unity of Muslim communities, and repentance.
