Abstract
Recording one's memoirs of a journey makes the author get back to the true and in-the-moment feelings and sentiments over and over, oftentimes with recollecting some minute details. Hence analyses of recorded memoirs of the Arbaeen marches reveal deeper and inner layers of recollections associated with this collective religious experience. In this paper, certain permanent and variable elements of this experience are brought into light.
