One of the reasons for permanence of Imam al-Husayn's movement owes a lot to Hazrat Zaynab's disclosing harangues and sermons in Kufa and Damascus. Making references to certain Quranic verses, she rebuked the Kufans for breaking their earlier covenant with Imam al-Husayn that led to his and companions' martyrdom. This library research highlights the Quranic appropriations and references included in Hazrat Zaynab's sermons and harangues.
