Imam al-Sajjad's talks and sermons in Kufa and Damascus proved influential for both informing people and continuing the movement initiated by Imam al-Husayn. He made uses of certain Quranic verses and clearly showed the real application of those Quranic verses. He showed them how the Ahl al-Bayt's rights had been denied of them and were confiscated by the usurpers. In doing so, he made extensive uses of the Quranic concepts and verses.
