Abstract
In Ashura-oriented poetical works, description of Imam al-Husayn's companions has long been of special interest. One of such martyred companions is Habib b. Muzahir. The Lebanese poet Sa`id al-`Usayli's (1348 - 1414 AH/ 1929 - 1993) poems in over 6,000 distichs provides a notable vista of the Ashura episode. In it, he praises Habib b. Muzahir for his piety, braveness, insightfulness, religiosity, and sacrifice
