Having viewed many accounts of the infancy period of Imam al-Husayn as indicated in both Sunni and Shii sources, it seems probable that he received his initial nourishment from the Prophet Muhammad, then from his mother, Hz. Fatimah al-Zahra, and also from certain ladies who were his foster-mothers.
