Imam al-Husayn's movement has safeguarded Islam, yet it has several misrepresentations throughout history. One of such topics concerns the fate of Imam al-Husayn's clothes and garments at the time of his martyrdom. Despite its importance and various views so far expressed, the very topic has seldom received enough attention. Hence the present paper addresses this question based on the earlier sources, especially those that date back to before the 10th/ 16th century.
