Abstract
Ashura-themed poetry deals with the event of Ashura. This type of poetry has received much more attention after the Islamic Revolution in Iran. It was especially favored during the eight-year imposed war, with depictions of various personalities, whether positive or negative. It was very much in vogue when people needed more inspiration and encouragement. Vivid poetic descriptions are abundant in them, coupled with rich rhetorical figures on voca, lexical, syntactic, and rhetorical planes.
