Abstract
Imam al-Husayn's matchless movement has since exerted its profound influence, hence it has absorbed much serious attention from all over the world. The Ashura movement was backed by a comprehensive socio-political and religious outlooks. The present paper deals with certain socio-political aspects of people's reactions and participation in the Ashura movement. It also provides some answers to their roles and duties in the time of such all-embracing movements.
