After the Ashura episode, Hazrat Zaynab strarted her crucial career of preaching the high religious aims and perspectives for which Imam al-Husayn and his companions were martyred. It was mainly due to her spreading the news of Imam al-Husayn's being the victim of the Umayyad's enmity that she preached the messages of Ashura. In her harangues which were packed with Quranic verses and references, she cornered the Umayyad hegemony. This paper deals with her intellectual construct and her effective use of the rhetorical techniques which proved highly effective.
